DLRCC have recently appointed Murphy Geospatial to undertake ground level surveys at several locations throughout the catchment where flood protection measures may be required.
The surveys will provide accurate information on the catchment land features near the proposed measures. The information obtained in the surveys will be fundamental for our options assessment at this preliminary stage.
The surveys will be undertaken along several roads, parks and fields within the catchment, and the surveyors will also require access to some private properties. All the landowners affected are being contacted by our surveyors to discuss the survey extent within their properties.
The surveyors will carry photo identification and have been provided with the necessary training and Personal Protective Equipment to ensure that the survey work can be undertaken complying with all HSE Covid requirements on hygiene and social distancing.
