Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has submitted Significant Further Information to An Coimisiún Pleanála under Section 175 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended) and the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 (as amended) for the proposed development titled “FLOOD RELIEF SCHEME FOR THE CARRICKMINES AND SHANGANAGH RIVERS”
The significant further information, including significant additional data in relation to the likely effects on the environment of the proposed development, may be inspected free of charge or purchased on payment of a specific fee (which shall not exceed the reasonable cost of making such a copy) during public opening hours from 16/10/2026 to 25/11/2026 at the following locations:
- The offices of An Coimisiún Pleanála, 64 Marlborough Street, Dublin 1, D01 V902.
- Planning Department, County Hall, Marine Road, Dún Laoghaire between the hours of 10.00a.m. to 4.00p.m. Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays.
- The Council offices, Dundrum Office Park, Dundrum between the hours 9.30a.m. to 12.30p.m. and 1.30p.m. to 4.30p.m. Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays.

Submissions or observations may be made in respect of:
- The implications of the proposed development for proper planning and sustainable development; and
- The likely effects on the environment of the proposed development.
Prescribed bodies and pre-existing submissions can submit by hand, by post or email, whilst new submissions can submit by hand, post or through the submission’s portal https://online.pleanala.ie/en-ie/sid/observation.
Submissions by post may be addressed to An Coimisiún Pleanála, 64 Marlborough Street, Dublin 1, D01 V902.
Any submissions/observations must be accompanied by a fee of €50 (except for certain prescribed bodies and except in the case of a person or body who has already made a submission or observation) and must be received by An Coimisiún Pleanála no later than 5:30 p.m. on 25/11/2026.
Such submissions or observations should be titled “FLOOD RELIEF SCHEME FOR THE CARRICKMINES AND SHANGANAGH RIVERS” and must include the following information:
- The name of the person, authority or body making the submission or observation, the name of the person, if any, acting on behalf of that person, authority or body, and the address to which any correspondence relating to the application should be sent,
- The subject matter of the submission or observation, and
- The reasons, considerations and arguments on which the submission or observation is based.
Any submissions or observations which do not comply with the above requirements cannot be considered by An Coimisiún Pleanála. A submission or observation duly made will be considered by An Coimisiún in making a decision on the application. It is at the absolute discretion of An Coimisiún whether to hold an oral hearing on the case.
